We don't build houses! We build beautiful homes on some of the prettiest
lakeshore property in the Upper Midwest. What an awesome opportunity.
However, knowing that you are altering pristine northern Wisconsin lakeshore
with a structure that will easily outlive us is also a huge responsibility.
How will this home serve the land? How will this home serve the families
that will live here? What will the home look like 100 years from now? What
impact will the design have on the lake and the area? We fret over all of
these questions.
Build with integrity and you'll find all of your answers. We start with
great design. All of our homes are one of a kind, stick built, true custom
homes. After several visits to the site and several design meetings at The
Outdoorsman, we start drawing. We don't use CAD, we draw. We build on lakes
because they're pretty to look at... and we give plenty of opportunities to
enjoy the view. Kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, screened porches and
offices all looking out at the lake. Why not?
Quality materials are expensive, but that's what we choose to use. Poured 9'
foundations, floor trusses 12" on center, cedar siding, trim and soffits,
gorgeous SDL Low E windows, commercial appliances, ice and water shield on
entire roof system, real stone wood burning fireplaces! You get the idea.
Twelve months and 681 decisions later, the home is finished and it's
beautiful. We've done our job well. It's never hard handing keys over to
the new owners. That was the motivation all along. A fine home in an
inspiring setting for generations of families to enjoy. A place at the lake
to laugh, to cry, to sing, to dance, to read, to live and to love. That's
what we build. That's why we build.
